Je ne m’étais pas correctement renseigné avant d’écrire mon billet concernant la « Mosquée de ground zero ». Elle a été conçue exactement avec les objectifs que je voulais lui donner !
Cordoba House (…) is the brainchild of Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, a well-meaning American cleric who has spent years trying to promote interfaith understanding, not an apostle of religious war like Osama bin Laden. He is modelling his project on New York’s 92nd Street Y, a Jewish community centre that reaches out to other religions. The site was selected in part precisely so that it might heal some of the wounds opened by the felling of the twin towers and all that followed. (Build that mosque.)
En tout cas cette affaire illustre à quel point la réalité a peu de place dans ce que nous percevons (moi le premier). Exemple surprenant d’un mécanisme hyper puissant de résistance au changement : l’interprétation populaire juge en fonction de signes qui n’ont qu’une très lointaine relation avec la réalité.

- Dans le même ordre d’idées seulement un tiers des Américains pense que Barack Obama est chrétien. (9/11 plus nine.) Une tentation irrésistible pour la désinformation.
